I cross-shopped the standard Bronco with the stamped deck and the Super Bronco with the fab deck. Rolled the dice on the fab — thicker steel, welded corners, three blades. Zero regrets. Cut is cleaner, deck doesn't ring like a stamped one, and I know this thing will outlast the tractor. 24 HP Kohler is smooth and quiet.

Cast-iron front axle is the other thing — I hit a lot of tree roots and I want that axle to be metal, not plastic bushings.

Been through a Craftsman, two Husqvarnas, and a John Deere in my adult life. Super Bronco is the best of them. Cut quality, comfort, control, engine — everything is dialed. And the 3-year warranty plus 5-year frame is the strongest coverage in this price range.
Cut, engine, ride, all excellent. Only knock — the 50-in fab deck is wide, and my back gate is 52 in. It fits but it's tight. Worth measuring your gates before you order. Once you're through, the deck is a dream.
My last tractor had a K46 hydro that groaned on hills. The T40 in the Super Bronco is a heavier-duty transaxle and you can feel it — smoother off the line, no groan on grades, and it holds ground speed on downhills instead of running away. Big upgrade.
Warm-season grass gets thick and matted. Twin-blade stamped decks lug and clump. Triple-blade fab deck on this Super Bronco cuts clean at 3.5 in even on damp Bermuda. Deck wash port makes cleanup a 3-minute job. Perfect for hot-climate lawns.
I've broken plastic front axles on lesser tractors hitting tree roots and rocks in the fall. Cast iron front axle on the Super Bronco takes that worry off the table. Two seasons in, no play, no wear. Worth the money for a wooded property.
Auto-choke Kohler fires on the first turn of the key, cold weather or hot. Even after sitting all winter with Sta-Bil in the gas, first mow of spring it started immediately. My old B&S single would take five minutes of choke fiddling. Big upgrade.
Everything is great. Only minor gripe is the parking brake pedal is stiff — takes some getting used to. Fine after 10 hours of use. Would still buy again over the Cub Cadet I cross-shopped. Cast-iron axle and 5-year frame warranty tipped it.

Lots of trees, lots of roots, some real slopes. 24 HP Kohler holds RPM on every grade I've got. Cast-iron axle takes root bumps in stride. 50-in deck makes short work of the open sections. Perfect tractor for a rural property that isn't quite big enough for a zero-turn.
So many corners on my property where I used to have to loop around. Push the button, back up while cutting, done. Between that and the tight turning radius I mow way less overlap than I used to. Feature I use every single mow.

Kohler is smooth, hydro is smooth, fab deck is fantastic. The 15-in high-back seat is comfortable for the first hour but I'd love lumbar for the full 2.5-acre mow. Might upgrade the seat next spring. Otherwise 5 stars — best cut I've had in years.
