I cross-shopped the 13.5 HP MT100 combo and this 19 HP hydro combo. Paid the extra $200 and I'm glad I did — the hydro pedal drive is way easier on my ankle for a full property mow, and the 19 HP handles my slight hills without dropping RPM. Double bagger fills up fast in the fall, chute never clogged.

Everything about the mow experience is great. The only reason for 4 stars is the double bagger support bracket install — much easier with two people. Once it's on, the bins snap in and out in seconds. Small install-day annoyance for a great long-term setup.

Ran the mulching setup all summer. By August my grass was noticeably thicker and greener than the last three summers of bagging. Clippings really do feed the lawn if you keep blades sharp and don't cut more than a third off.
Only real gripe is the deck maxes at 4 in. — I'd love another notch at 4.5 or 5 for the drought weeks. Otherwise the tractor, bagger, and mulch kit all work great and the combo price is the right move.

Great setup for a flat to gently rolling yard up to 2 acres. Wouldn't try to bag on a real slope with any rear bagger — physics. On flat ground this combo is excellent value. Would recommend.
